Manchester quartet pyncher have revealed their new single, ‘Steely Dan’. The track is an old live favourite that has been given a new lease of life - it’s a bold cut that leaves nothing to the imagination, as furious guitars collide with a playful vocal performance and twists and turns that come out of left field. “This song dates back to when we first started as a band, and it's inspired by a short horror story written by our drummer, Jack Rainbow,” they explain. “As for the music, we’d all been on a night out and Sam woke up with this idea for a riff. We lived in a four-bed house together, so it was just a matter of Sam knocking on each of our doors and working each part out, until we put the song together in our living room.” The band have announced their debut EP, which drops on October 15th, 2025, via crackedankles. -Dan Peeke
